The Saket Bar Association, Delhi has urged to the Chief Justice N.V. Ramana for seeking exemption from Toll tax across the Country.

The Association highlighted the point that Advocate community is suffering economically very badly for last 1.5 years and thus getting difficulty to pay toll tax during their movement tn different parts of India.

The letter written to CJI states that “Advocate community is doing great service for society at large and providing the public a right path for achieving the social justice and thus designated as officers of the court. Advocates are part and parcel of legal judicial system which is helping judiciary in imparting justice at large and thus be provided exemption from Toll tax throughout India. Considering there important role in development of country.”

Therefore, the Association requested CJI to kindly pass a direction to authorities for exemption of Advocates from Toll tax across the Country.

The Association has also sent one copy of the letter to Ministry of Road and Transport for the information.
