2. Petitioner passed D.El.Ed. course from Prayagraj in State of Uttar Pradesh. She applied for appointment as Assistant Teacher, Government Primary School in District Champawat. According to petitioner, she has been selected for appointment, however, District Education Officer (Elementary), Champawat has issued a letter on 13.2.2026 asking the petitioner to clarify on certain aspects.

3. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has submitted the clarification, sought by letter dated 13.2.2026, well within time but thereafter no decision has been taken by the competent authority.

4. Learned State Counsel submits that the institute from where petitioner obtained D.El.Ed. degree appears to be unrecognised. She further submits that petitioner appears to be permanent resident of State of Uttar Pradesh and she is claiming that status in Uttarakhand also.

5. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has not married as yet, therefore the query made by the District Education Officer regarding petitioner's marital status has been answered.

6. Be that as it may, since the matter is pending consideration before the District Education Officer concerned, therefore, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the District Education Officer concerned to take 2026:UHC:2238

decision in the matter, as per law, within four weeks from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
