Hon'ble Ashish Naithani, J., Mr. Maneesh Bisht, learned counsel for the Applicant.

2. Mr. Vikash Uniyal, learned Brief Holder for the State of Uttarakhand.

3. The present Bail Application has been moved by the Applicant-Puranlal, aged about 48 years, S/o Tikaram, R/o Village Dopahariya, P.S. Pulbhatta, District Udham Singh Nagar. The Applicant is in judicial custody in connection with FIR No. 173 of 2025, registered at Police Station Pulbhatta, District Udham Singh Nagar, for the offence under Sections 8/22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (hereinafter referred to as the NDPS Act).

4. Learned counsel for the Applicant submits that the recovery memo does not clearly specify the contraband allegedly recovered from the Applicant, particularly with regard to the weight of the said contraband.

5. Since the punishment under the NDPS Act is dependent upon the quantity/weight of the contraband, learned State counsel seeks time to obtain instructions in this regard.
