Mr. M.K. Ray, learned counsel for the Appellants/Applicants.

2. Mr. Vikas Uniyal, learned Brief Holder for the State.

3. Present two criminal appeal are filed by the appellants against the judgment dated 15.01.2026 passed by learned Second Additional Sessions Judge, District Udham Singh Nagar in Sessions Trial Nos.219 of 2018 State of Uttarakhand vs. Jaydev Gupta and Sessions Trial No.226 of 2019 State of Uttarakhand vs. Laxmi Gupta. By the said judgment both the appellants/applicants have been convicted under Section 304-B and 498-A of IPC. Under Section 304-B both the appellants have been convicted for eight years rigorous imprisonment. Appellant-Laxmi Gupta has also convicted under Section 498-A of IPC and sentenced to two years rigorous imprisonment alongwith a fine of Rs.5,000/- and in default stipulation further fifteen days additional simple imprisonment was imposed upon her.

4. The matter is listed for disposal of bail application.

5. Learned counsel for the applicants submits that FIR is highly delayed. He submits that applicants are not a previously convicted person. He submits that applicants were on bail during trial and they have never misused the same.

6. List on 25.05.2026.

7. Heard on bail application.

8. Without going into the merits of the case and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this court finds it sufficient to enlarge the applicants on bail.

9. Let the applicants-Jaydev Gupta and Laxmi Gupta be released on bail on their furnishing a personal bond and two sureties each of the like amount to the satisfaction of the court concerned during the pendency of this appeal.

10. Both the bail applications stand disposed of.
