                               1.   Mr. Ankit Bisht, learned counsel for
                               the petitioner.
                               2.   Mr. Narayan Dutt, learned Standing
                               Counsel for the State of Uttarakhand.

                               3.    By means of this writ petition,
                               petitioner has sought the following
                               relief:-
                               (i)                     Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of
                                                       Mandamus directing and commanding the
                                                       Respondent Appointing Authority to consider the

candidature of the Petitioner for appointment on the post of Assistant Teacher (Science), District Almora against the 01 vacant post earmarked for Dependants of Freedom Fighters, in accordance with the reservation policy of the State against the advertisement dated 07.11.2025 (Annexure No. 01 to the writ petition).

4. Learned State Counsel submits that since petitioner has sought writ of mandamus, but he has not made any representation to the Competent Authority, therefore, the writ petition is not maintainable.

5. Having regard to the facts of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation to the Competent Authority. If he makes representation to the Competent Authority within ten days from today, decision thereupon shall be taken, as per law, within four weeks thereafter.
