1. Mr. Deep Chandra Joshi, learned counsel for the petitioners.

2. Mr. Rajeev Singh Bisht, learned Additional C.S.C. for the State of Uttarakhand.

3. Petitioners were engaged on daily wages for discharging duties as Assistant Teacher in Government Ashram Paddhati Higher Secondary School, Betalghat, Nainital. According to them, they have served in that capacity continuously ever since then; however, their engagement has been discontinued w.e.f. 01.02.2026 without any rhyme and reason.

4. It is contended that work and post is available, therefore, discontinuance of petitioners' engagement is unjust.

5. Let counter affidavit be filed within six weeks.

6. List these cases on 29.04.2026 along with WPSS No. 628 of 2026.

7. In the meantime, if work and post is available in Government Ashram Paddhati Higher Secondary School, Betalghat, then petitioner(s) shall be permitted to continue.

8. Interim relief applications (IA Nos. 1 of 2026) stand disposed of.
