                               Hon'ble Manoj Kumar Tiwari, J.

Dr. Kartikey Hari Gupta, Advocate for the petitioners.

Mr. Suyash Pant, Standing Counsel for the State.

Mr. Shashank Upadhyaya, Advocate for respondent Nos. 3 and 4.

Mr. Manoj Kumar, Advocate for Union of India.

2. Since common questions of law and fact are involved in these petitions, therefore they are heard together and are being decided by a common judgment. However, for the sake of brevity, facts of Writ Petition No. 1070 of 2023 (MS) alone are being discussed and considered.

3. Reliefs sought by petitioners in WPMS No. 1070 of 2023 are as follows:

"i. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Regional Officer, Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E.)/respondent No. 4 to issue C.B.S.E. Student Registration Number of the petitioners for Class XIth (Academic Session 2022-23).

.ii. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Regional Officer, Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E.)/respondent no. 4 to issue permission to the petitioners for shifting and registration with nearby C.B.S.E affiliated school for Class XIIth (Academic Session 2023-24)."

4. This writ petition was filed in the year 2025:UHC:8121 2023, by the students studying in Class-XII in Lucent International School during Academic Session 2023-24.

5. Mr. Shashank Upadhyaya, learned counsel appearing for C.B.S.E. submits that reliefs as claimed by petitioner do not survive as the students were permitted to be shifted from Lucent International School to some other schools.

6. In view of the statement made by learned counsel for C.B.S.E., writ petitions are dismissed as infructuous.
