2. Mr. Atul Bhatt, Standing Counsel for the Union of India / respondents.
3. Petitioner was employed as casual worker (temporary status) in Regional Sericultural Research Station, Sahaspur, Dehradun. According to him, as per his conditions of service, he is entitled to serve till he attains age of 58 years, however, he was made to retire at the age of 55 years on 5.12.2025. Thus, feeling aggrieved, petitioner has approached this Court.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner relies upon a judgment rendered by Hon'ble Karnataka High Court in Writ Petition No. 24585 of 2025. He submits that the issue is covered by the said judgment. He also submits that coordinate Bench has also passed interim order in similar matters where a casual work was made to retire at the age of 55 years.
5. List this petition on 18.02.2026, along with WPSS No. 916 of 2025.
6. Counter affidavit, if any, be filed in the meantime.
7. Till the next date of listing, as an interim measure, petitioner shall be permitted to discharge duties and shall also be paid salary for the work done by him.
