Proposed Criminal Appeal has been filed against the judgment dated 15.07.2023, passed by learned IInd Additional Sessions Judge, Kashipur, District Udham Singh Nagar in Sessions Trial No. 60 of 2010, "State vs. Dilbagh Singh and Others", whereby, the appellant- Sher Singh alias Sheru Singh alias Palvinder Singh has been convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of one year along with a fine of Rs. 5,000/- under Section 147 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (in short, "IPC"); he has been convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of two years along with a fine of Rs. 5,000/- under Section 148 IPC; he has been convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of two years along with a fine of Rs. 5,000/- under Section 506 IPC, and, he has been convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of seven years along with a fine of Rs. 10,000/- for the offence under Section 307 read with Section 149 IPC. All the sentences have been directed to run concurrently.
