This Criminal Appeal has been filed by the appellant - child in conflict with law, against the judgment dated 23.04.2022, passed by the Special Judge (POCSO)/ Children Court/ Additional District and Sessions Judge, Dehradun in Special Sessions Trial No.17 of 2017, "State vs. Rajesh Thapa", whereby, the appellant has been convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of seven years along with a fine of Rs.50,000/- for the offence under Section 304 Part ii of IPC; he has been convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of six months for the offence under Section 323 of IPC; he has been convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of two years along with a fine of Rs.10,000/- for the offence under Section 325 of IPC, and, he has been further convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of three years along with a fine of Rs.20,000/- for the offence under Section 308 of IPC. In default of payment of fine, the appellant has been directed to undergo further additional rigorous imprisonment for a period of three months.
