[1] This Criminal Revision Petition has been filed
challenging the judgment dated 05.01.2021 delivered by the
Sessions Judge, North Tripura, Dharmanagar in Criminal Appeal
No.13 of 2019 affirming the judgment and order of conviction
and sentence dated 18.12.2019 passed by the Assistant Sessions
Judge, North Tripura, Dharmanagar in case No.ST(Type-II)02 of
2019 whereby the petitioner was convicted and sentenced to RI
for 2 years and fine of Rs.10,000/- with default stipulation for
committing offence punishable under Section 498A IPC and he
was further sentenced to RI for 3 years and fine of Rs.10,000/-
with default stipulation for commission of offence punishable
under Section 306 IPC and it was ordered that both the
sentences would run consecutively.
[2] Heard Mr. P. Majudmder, leaned advocate appearing
for the petitioner as well Mr.Ratan Datta, learned Public
Prosecutor representing the State respondent.
