IN THE HIGH COURT FOR THE STATE OF TELANGANA AT HYDERABAD

              THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE N.TUKARAMJI

                       WRIT PETITION No.21236 of 2015

                                 09th April, 2026

  Between:

  M.Jagannatham
                                                                      ...Petitioner
                                        AND

The State of Telangana and others.

                                                                  ...Respondents

  ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed with the following relief:

"...to issue an appropriate Writ, order or direction, more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of police in discharging their duties as illegal, arbitrary and contrary to the investigation and to pass............"

2. Heard Mr.C.Damodar Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioners

and Mr.D.Pradeep, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home.

3. This petition is filed contending that the complaint submitted by

the petitioner has not been acted upon by the respondent police. It is

stated in the affidavit that, on 11.03.2015, the petitioner performed the

marriage of his daughter at K.K. Function Hall, Suncity, Ranga Reddy

District, during which certain properties were found missing.

Suspecting the involvement of his servants, the petitioner lodged a

complaint. However, as the respondent police authorities allegedly

failed to conduct proper investigation and take appropriate action, the

present petition has been filed seeking suitable directions.

4. The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home submits

that, based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, Crime No. 169 of

2015 was registered. After due investigation, a charge sheet was filed

and the same was taken on file as C.C. No. 819 of 2015 on the file of

the learned XIII Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class,

Rajendranagar. It is further submitted that, after a full-fledged trial,

the case ended in acquittal on 09.06.2017. Thus, the grievance raised

by the petitioner no longer survives, and the petition is liable to be

dismissed.

5. I have perused the material available on record.

6. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondent police

failed to conduct investigation on the complaint submitted by him.

However, the developments as reported by the learned Assistant

Government Pleader clearly demonstrate that the complaint of the

petitioner was acted upon by registering a crime, conducting

investigation, filing a charge sheet, and proceeding with trial, which

ultimately resulted in acquittal of the accused.

7. Thus, it is evident that the grievance of the petitioner has been

effectively addressed by the respondent authorities. In view of the

conclusion of the criminal proceedings, this Court is of the considered

opinion that nothing further survives for determination in this matter.

8. Accordingly, this petition is dismissed as infructuous. There

shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, pending if any, shall stand closed.
