R.Chandraiah vs The State Of Telangana on 24 November, 2025

Author: N. Tukaramji
Bench: N. Tukaramji
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE N. TUKARAMJI

                WRIT PETITION No.3130 OF 2018

ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed with the following relief:

"Issue a writ or an order or a direction, more particularly a Writ in the nature of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not investigating the Crime No.228 of 2017 dated 10.11.2017 registered basing on the complaint filed by the petitioner on proper lines as being arbitrary, illegal and violative of principles of natural justice and consequently direct the respondents to conduct the investigation on proper lines without being influenced by the unofficial respondents 4 to 6 and take necessary action against the persons responsible for the death of petitioner's son ...."

2. None appeared on behalf of the petitioner.

3. The Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home

submits that, after due investigation in Crime No. 228 of 2017, a

charge sheet was filed, and the matter was taken on file as C.C.

No. 368 of 2023 before the Court of the Judicial First Class

Magistrate, Nandi Medaram. It is further submitted that, upon

completion of trial, the case ended in acquittal by judgment dated

25.08.2025. Hence, the contention raised by the petitioner no

longer survives for consideration.

4. I have perused the material available on record.

5. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondent police

authorities failed to investigate Crime No. 228 of 2017. However,

as reported by the Learned Assistant Government Pleader for

Home, the said crime has been duly investigated, a charge sheet

filed, and the case has already culminated in acquittal. This

development clearly establishes that the concerns raised by the

petitioner have been effectively addressed by the respondent

police authorities.

6. Having regard to the fact that the criminal proceedings

have been concluded and resulted in acquittal, this Court finds

that nothing further remains for adjudication in the present matter.

7. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the Petition, shall stand closed.
