By way of filing the present civil writ petition under Article

226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioners have prayed for

the following reliefs:-

"It is, therefore, most respectfully prayed that record of the case be called for and by an appropriate writ, order or direction:-

(i). the names of the petitioners be corrected and necessary entries be made by shifting the names of Petitioner No. 1 to 13 from the electoral list of Sub-Part No. 8, Hastinapur to Sub-Part No. 3, Padiharo Ki Dhani, Village Khelana of Part No. 231 and further direct that the names of Petitioner Nos. 13 to 57 be shifted from Part No. 233 to Part No. 231, Sub-Part No. 3, Padiharo Ki Dhani, Village Khelana, in accordance with law;

(ii). the respondents may kindly be directed consider and decide the applications/representations submitted by the petitioners along with Form No. 8, expeditiously and within a time-bound manner, by passing a reasoned and speaking order;

(iii). the respondents may kindly be directednot to delete, shift or otherwise alter the names of the petitioners in the electoral rolls without following due process of law;

(iv). any other appropriate relief(s) which may be deemed just and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case may be passed in favour of the petitioners.

(v). costs of writ petition may also be awarded to the petitioners."

2. Mr. S.S. Ladrecha, AAG has put in appearance on behalf of

respondents.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the

petitioners would be satisfied if the Election Officer, Pokaran is

directed to consider and decide their representation dated

07.01.2026 as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period

of fifteen days from today.

4. This Court finds the prayer made by the learned counsel for

the petitioners to be reasonable therefore, the present writ

petition is disposed of with a direction to the Election Officer,

Pokaran to consider and decide the representation dated
