Learned counsel for the parties jointly submitted that the
controversy involved in the matter stands covered by the
judgment passed by coordinate Bench in a bunch of writ petitions
led by the case of Sidharth Singh Bhati Vs. State of Rajasthan &
Ors. (S.B. CW No.5352/2017).
In the aforesaid judgment, this Court issued the following
directions:-
"In view of the above observations, the respondents are directed to consider the candidature of
(2 of 2) [CW-1790/2015]
the present petitioners for appointment if they stand in merit as per the above observations. However, it is made clear that the General category candidates who were earlier selected would now not be ousted because of this reshuffling/adjustment. It is also made clear that if the petitioners are held entitled for appointment, they be accorded appointment with effect from the date the last person qua the OBC category had been afforded appointment.
The complete exercise be completed by the respondent authorities within a period of 2 months from the date of receipt of the present order.
With these observations, the present writ petitions are disposed of.
All the pending applications are disposed of accordingly."
In view of the aforesaid joint submission, the present writ
petition is disposed of in terms of the order dated 20.05.2022
(supra) passed by this Court.
