3. On advance service of copy of petition, Mr. Nirmaljit Singh
Diwana, Senior Deputy Advocate General, Punjab appears on behalf of
the respondents-State and opposes issuance of notice of motion.
He further submits that respondent No.3 (Deputy Commissioner, Bathinda,
District Bathinda)/competent authority shall take decision either way, on the
pending representation dated 20.09.2024 (Annexure P-4) within a period of
two months from today.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner, keeping in view the
aforesaid submissions made by learned counsel for the respondents-State,
submits that he does not intend to press the instant writ petition any further,
at this stage.
5. Keeping in view the submissions made by learned counsel
for the parties and without commenting on the merits of the case,
the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3
(Deputy Commissioner, Bathinda, District Bathinda)/competent authority to
consider and decide representation dated 20.09.2024 (Annexure P-4) by way
of passing a speaking order, after affording due opportunity of hearing to all
the concerned parties, within a period of two months from today.
6. All the pending application(s), if any, shall also stand closed.
