The petition has been filed inter alia seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's candidature for the post of TGT Punjabi (Rest of Haryana cadre) under EWS category, and revise the final result, dated 10.08.2024, for the selection pursuant to advertisement 4 of 2020.

2. Learned State counsel, on instructions received from Secretary of the Commission, vide memo dated 18.09.2024, contends that the petitioner's candidature was duly considered under EWS category for the post in question. She secured 66.5 marks, and the last recommended candidate in the category also secured the same marks. Petitioner's date of birth is 15.04.1987, and that of the last selected candidate is 24.08.1979. Being younger in age, the petitioner could not be selected.

3. In view of the statement made, learned counsel for the petitioner

does not dispute that the matter has been rendered infructuous.
