1. The petitioner through instant petition under Articles

226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking setting aside of final merit

list (Annexure P-6) whereby respondents No. 4 and 5 have been selected

on the post of Sub-Inspector in Technical & Support Services Cadre

under Ex-serviceman (Scheduled Caste) Category.

2. The petitioner claims that he is more meritorious than

respondents No.4 and 5 still has been denied post of Sub-Inspector in

Technical & Support Services Cadre. He, pursuant to advertisement

No.7 of 2021 dated 09.09.2021, had applied for the post of Sub-Inspector.

3. This Court vide judgment dated 20.01.2024 has dismissed

CWP No.12331 of 2023 titled as "Sukhdev Singh vs. State of Punjab and

others" and connected writ petitions. The said judgment has been upheld

by a Division Bench of this court vide judgment date 14.10.2024 passed

in LPA No.313 of 2024 titled as "Rikul Chatwal vs. State of Punjab and

others" and other connected appeals.

4. Mr. Karamveer Singh Banyana, on being confronted with

judgment of this Court and judgment of Appellate Court expressed his

inability to controvert applicability of aforesaid judgments to facts of the

present case, however, he submits that appellate authority has not

adverted to his arguments while deciding his appeal.

5. It is true that appellate authority has not passed a reasoned

order, however, in view of judgment of this Court and Appellate Court,

the instant petition deserves to be dismissed and accordingly dismissed.
