This petition has been filed seeking a writ of certiorari quashing the order dated 02.03.2022, Annexure P-10, whereby candidates lower in merit than that of the petitioner have been given appointment on the post of PGT Chemistry.

2. Learned State counsel has filed a short reply by way of affidavit of respondent no.2-Deputy Secretary, Haryana Staff Selection Commission, which is taken on record. It is to the effect that the matter regarding withdrawal of recommendation of the private respondents is pending before the State government for taking decision.

3. It is, however, not in dispute that final direction to recast the merit position and issue fresh appointment letters to the eligible candidates, was issued by the Supreme Court on 09.05.2022. Therefore, it is directed that final decision in the matter will be taken by the government within six weeks from receiving a certified copy of this order, and the revised merit list

will be issued within four weeks thereafter.
