1. The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of writ in the

nature of Mandamus so as to direct the official respondents to rectify the

anomaly in the pay-scale of the petitioner so as to bring at par with the pay

drawn by his juniors i.e. proforma respondents No.4 and 5.

2. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer for

issuance of a direction to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police,

Gurdaspur, District Gurdaspur to consider and dispose of the representation

dated 25.7.2020 (Annexure P-2) in accordance with law.

3. Notice of motion.

4. On the asking of this Court, Mr. Inderpreet Singh Kang, AAG, Punjab, who

is present in the Court accepts notice.

5. Having regard to the limited prayer made on behalf of the petitioner, the

instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3-Senior

Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur, District Gurdaspur, to consider and

dispose of the representation dated 25.7.2020 (Annexure P-2) in accordance

with law expeditiously preferably within a period of 3 months from today.

6. A copy of this order along with copy of representation dated 25.7.2020

(Annexure P-2) be sent to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police,

Gurdaspur, District Gurdaspur, for necessary compliance.
