By way of filing the instant application, the applicant/petitioner

seeks early hearing of the main petition i.e. CWP-11072-2016, which stands

admitted vide order dated 6.2.2017, on the ground that an identical case has

already been disposed of by this Court vide judgment dated 16.3.2023 passed

in CWP-5648-2017 titled Sukhmander Singh and others Versus State of

Punjab and others.

Notice of the application to the respondent - State of Punjab.

On asking of the Court, Mr. Inderpreet Singh Kang, AAG,

Punjab, who is present in Court accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-

State.

Learned State counsel has fairly stated that the case of

applicant/petitioner would be covered by Sukhmander Singh's case (supra)

and that the instant petition may be disposed off accordingly.

In view of the aforesaid submissions and in view of the reasons

mentioned in the application the same is allowed and the main case i.e. CWP-

11072-2016, which stands admitted vide order dated 6.2.2017, is preponed

and is taken on board today and the same stands disposed of in the same

terms as in Sukhmander Singh's case (supra).
