By way of present petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioners are seeking issuance of directions to respondents No.2 to 3 to protect their life and liberty at the hands of respondents No.5 to 8.

2. Notice of motion.

3. On the asking of the Court, Mr. Ankur Bal, Addl. P.P., U.T., Chandigarh appears and accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents.

4, As per petitioners, they got married on 16.11.2023 against the wishes of respondents No.5 to 8, whe happen to be the family memibers/ relatives of petitioner No.1 i.e. Sapna.

5. Both the petitioners have claimed themselves to be major relying upon their Aadhar Cards indicating that petitioner No.1-Sapna is

1997 born and petitioner No.2-Suraj Kumar is 1996 born.

6. Without commenting on the legality and validity of the marriage, [ deem it appropriate to direct respondent No.2 (Superintendent of Police, Chandigarh) to look into the representation dated 18.11.2023 (Annexure P-5) submitted by the petitioners.

7. Keeping in view the fact that both the petitioners claim to have married, I think that if possible, respondent No.2 may call a meeting of the petitioners as well as respondents No.5 to & in her/his

presence, so that the parties get rid off their ill feelings and live

amicably,

8. Petition stands disposed off.
