The instant writ petition has been filed for seeking issuance

of directions to the respondents No.2 and 3 to grant 'Police Clearance

Certificate' to the petitioner in terms of the judgment dated 13.09.2023

passed by this Court and the proforma as approved.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner

draws attention to the judgment of this Court passed in CWP-19314 of

2020 titled as "Balwinder Singh versus Union of India and others"

wherein this Court had directed the State authorities to send a proforma

for submission of details to the passport authorities. He contend that

notwithstanding the proforma attached as a part of the judgment, the

respondents, are issuing the status report in their own proforma.

notice on behalf of respondent-State.

Taking into consideration, the submission advanced by the

counsel for the parties and also noticing that this Court had already

issued the proforma in which the Police Verification Report was

required to be submitted, the present writ petition is allowed and the

status report prepared by the office of Senior Superintendent of Police,

District Jalandhar (Rural) is set aside. The respondents are directed to

issue appropriate verification report in terms of the proforma attached

as Annexure 'Part-A' approved alongwith CWP-19314 of 2020 decided

on 13.09.2023.
