1. It is informed that the petitioners have preferred this Writ Petition challenging the same relief as granted by the Division Bench of this Court in CWP-8922-2017, titled as Gurwinder Singh Vs. State of Punjab and Others decided on 13.09.2018 as well as the order dated 16.02.2023 passed by the Division Bench in a Bunch of Writ Petitions bearing leading case No. CWP-17064-2017.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner frankly states that the said orders by the Division Bench has been challenged in SLP No.41783 of 2023 and the Hon'ble Supreme Court has stayed the operation and effect of the judgment of this Court.
3. Keeping in view thereto, no purpose would be served in keeping this Writ Petition pending and the same is disposed of with observations that the fate of this Writ Petition would be subject to the result of the SLP No.41783 of 2023.
4. All pending applications filed in this Contempt Petition shall stand disposed of.
