1. The present petition has been filed for issuance of a writ in the

nature of mandamus directing the official respondent Nos.1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners.

2. It is a strange case that the petitioners got married on 02.06.2023 and instead of thinking about starting their matrimonial life, both of them immediately approached the police authorities to seek protection. The representation dated 02.06.2023 (Annexure P-5) is as vague as it could be, as it does not detail out what is the threat perception to the petitioners and at whose behest. There is no date, time or mode of communication to the petitioners with the averment that they have been

threatened to be killed by the private respondents. It is beyond the

imagination that why would the parents ever threat to kill their own children but a trend has become to file such frivolous petition in the Court.

3. Accordingly, no directions are required to be passed in this petition as it is the duty of the State Government authorities to protect the life and liberty of its citizens and the same shall be done by respondent

Nos.2 and 3 in the present case also.

4. Finding no merits. Dismissed accordingly. (ALOK JAIN) JUDGE June 07, 2023.
