The petitioner has approached this Court seeking directions to the respondents to get her height re-measured from any Government hospital/independent body.

Upon an advance copy of the petition having been served upon the State of Punjab, Mr. Inderpreet Singh Kang, AAG, Punjab has put in appearance and has furnished a copy of letter dated 08.08.2023 received by the office of the Advocate General, Punjab from the Director General of Police, Punjab, Chandigarh as per which the height of the petitioner has been measured again with a stadiometer in accordance with judgment dated 05.07.2021 passed by CWP-22985-2016 titled 'Raghvir Singh & others Vs. State of Punjab & others' and the height of the petitioner has been found to be 54.13 inches.

It is further stated in the said letter that by considering the said height,

she would be allotted 1 additional mark, but she will still not be able to

make it, as cut-off for the successful candidates is 27 marks, whereas the petitioner would be having 26 marks even by adding 1 additional mark. Copy of the said letter dated 08.08.2023 is taken on record.

4. In view of the aforestated factual position, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the instant petition.

5. In view of the aforesaid submission, the petition is dismissed as

withdrawn.
