[1] Prayer in the petition is for initiating proceedings against the

respondent for intentional and willful defiance of order, Annexure P/1,

dated 24.10.2019 in CWP No.31076 of 2019 in case titled as Gurdev

Singh vs. State of Punjab and others.

[2] A perusal of order, Annexure P/1 reveals that CWP No.31076

of 2019 was disposed of by directing the respondent to take action on

representation dated 02.09.2019 in view of judgment passed by this Court

in CWP No.16345 of 2009 decided on 14.09.2010 within two months

from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order.

[3] Learned AAG has filed copy of short reply by way of

affidavit dated 04.11.2022 on behalf of the respondent along with

Annexure R/1 dated 11.11.2020. The same is taken on record. Copy of

the same has been handed over to learned counsel for the petitioner, who

on perusal thereof states that in view of the claim of the petitioner as

contained in representation dated 02.09.2019 having been rejected vide

order Annexure R/1 dated 11.11.2020, he does not press the instant

petition but prays for grant of liberty to the petitioner to challenge order

Annexure R/1 dated 11.11.2020 by way of appropriate proceedings in

accordance with law.

[4] In view of the position noted above, as well as statement of

learned counsel for the petitioner, the instant petition is disposed of as not

calling for any action against the respondent under the Contempt of

Courts Act, 1971while granting liberty to the petitioner as prayed for.
