N.S.SHEKHAWAT, J.

Bachan Singh son of Bhagat Singh has preferred the

instant revision petition before this Court with a prayer to enhance the

sentence imposed on the present respondents and it was prayed that

adequate compensation may be awarded to the heirs of Balbir Singh

(since deceased).

This Court vide judgment of even date has disposed of

the CRA-S-1828-SB of 2003 titled as Sukhdev Singh and others Vs.

State of Punjab and the sentence of imprisonment awarded to the

present respondents has been ordered to be reduced to the one already

undergone by them. However, the amount of compensation, which is

to be awarded to the heirs of Balbir Singh (since deceased) has been

ordered to be enhanced.

In view of the above, this revision petition has been

rendered infructuous.

Disposed of as such.

All pending applications, if any, are disposed of,

accordingly.

The case property, if any, may be dealt with as per the

rules after expiry of period of limitation for filing the appeal.

Records of the Court below be sent back.

In the end, I record my appreciation for Mr. Rahul Vats

and Mr. Raman B. Garg, learned Amicus Curiae, who had rendered

able assistance to this Court.
