Heard through video conferencing.

The limited prayer made in the present petition is for issuance

of a direction to respondent no.1 to decide the appeal dated 26.03.2021

(Annexure P-2) filed by the petitioners against order dated 02.02.2021,

whereby recovery of an amount of Rs. 10,75,465/- has been directed against

petitioner no.1-Gurdev Singh and recovery of Rs.4,30,186/- has been

directed from the salary of petitioner no.2-Oman Singh.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has relied upon judgment

passed by this Court in CWP-845-2019 titled as Jaswinder Singh and

another vs. The Punjab State Cooperative Supply and another, CWP-

3443-2019 titled as Raman Kant vs. The Punjab State Co-operative Supply

and Marketing Federation Ltd. and another; CWP-5050-2020 titled as

Jasvir Singh and another vs. The Punjab State Supply Marketing

Federation Ltd and another; and CWP-9845-2020 titled as Tirath Ram vs.

Board of Directors.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Harkirat Singh Randhawa,

Panel Counsel for the respondents, who has joined the session through video

conferencing, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

Without commenting on the merits of the case, the present

petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent no.1 to decide the

statutory appeal filed by the petitioners within a period of six months from

the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. Till such time the

application for stay/appeal of the petitioners is not decided, the recovery of

the amount from the salaries of the petitioners shall not be effected.

Disposed off.
