04. This matter is taken up through Hybrid arrangement (video conferencing/physical mode).

Perused the Prisoner's petition from the Sub- Jail, Athagarh, which is at Flag-D regarding engagement of advocate Mr. Mangu Nandy. Mr. Nandy has filed his Vakaltanama, which is accepted.

The names of Mr. Julu Khansama and his associate Mr. R. Pradhan shall not be reflected in the cause list henceforth.

Heard.

There shall be stay of realization of fine amount imposed by the learned trial Court on the appellant- petitioner pursuant to the judgment and order dated 24.09.2020 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Athmallik in C.T.(S) No.162 of 2017/C.T.(S) No.21 of 2016 till disposal of the criminal appeal.

The I.A. is disposed of.

This is an application for bail. Let copy of the Interim Application be served on the learned counsel for the State during the course of the day.

The submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner has been in judicial custody for about ten years.

Let learned counsel for the State shall obtain the custody certificate from the jail as well as take

instruction regarding the criminal antecedent, if any against the petitioner.
