1. The matter is taken up in the 1st Lok Adalat of the year, 2025.

2. Mr. K.C. Nayak, learned counsel for the appellant-claimant and Mr. S.K. Mohanty, learned counsel for respondent no.2- Insurance Company are present.

3. By judgment and order dated 25.01.2022, the learned Member, 4th MACT, Jajpur Road in M.A.C. Case No. 131 of 2019 had held that the respondents no.1 and 2 jointly and severally liable to pay compensation of Rs.72,310/- with interest thereon @ 7% per annum from the date of filing of the claim to the claimant and also directed the respondent no.2-Insurance Company to pay the entire amount with interest to the claimant by cheque within one month hence.

4. This appeal has been filed for enhancement of the compensation amount.

5. It is now agreed between the appellant-claimant and the respondent no.2-Insurance Company that a further consolidated amount of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousands only) without any interest shall be paid by the Insurance Company to the appellant- claimant within a period of eight weeks.

6. The compromise memo signed by Mr. Kapila Charan Nayak, learned counsel for the appellant and Mr. G.P. Dutta, learned counsel for the respondent no.2 is filed in Court today.

7. It is therefore directed that the respondent no.2- Insurance Company shall deposit the aforesaid consolidated amount of Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousands only) within a period of eight weeks from today before the Tribunal which shall be disbursed to the appellant-claimant.

8. As the settlement is arrived at before the 1st National Lok Adalat, no court fee shall be levied.

9. The MACA is accordingly disposed of.
