1. 1. This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement
(virtual/physical mode) in the 4th National Lok Adalat, 2025.
2. Learned counsel for the Appellant/ Claimant and learned
counsel for the Respondent No.2/ Insurance Company are
present. The Officers of the Insurance Company are also present.
3. Heard.
4. The Appellant/ Claimant has filed this MACA challenging the
judgment and award dated 02.04.2025 passed by the learned 3rd
District Judge, Bhubaneswar in M.A.C. Case No.99 of 2017

thereby directing the Respondent No.2/ Insurance Company to
pay an amount of Rs.79,682/- (Rupees Seventy-nine thousand Six
hundred and Eighty-two only) to the Appellant/Claimant along
with interest @ 6% per annum from the date of filing of the claim
petition, within a period of one month of passing of that award.
5. At present, on the basis of the compromise made between the
parties, the impugned award is modified and settled by a further
consolidated sum of Rs.30,000/- (Rupees Sixty thousand only)
over and above the awarded amount. It is stated that the award
amount passed by the Tribunal has already been satisfied by the
Insurance Company.
6. The Respondent No.2/Insurance Company is directed to
deposit the aforesaid consolidated award amount without
interest before the learned 3rd District Judge, Bhubaneswar in
M.A.C. Case No.99 of 2017 within a period of eight weeks,
whereafter the entire amount shall be disbursed in favour of the
Claimant(s) in terms of the order of the Tribunal and also after
keeping proof of identification, if any amount is yet not paid. The
impugned award is modified to the above extent. The
compromise sheet signed by both the parties/ their authorized
representatives be kept on record.
7. The MACA is, accordingly, disposed of.

8. The MACA having been disposed of in the 4th National Lok
Adalat, 2025, Court fee, if any, is not payable.
