06. 1. The matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

2. Heard Mr. S. Mohanty, learned counsel for the injured - claimant - Appellant and Mr. S.A. Ali, learned counsel for insurer - Respondent No.2.

3. Present appeal by the injured-claimant is directed against the impugned common judgment dated 3rd November, 2006, 2021 of learned 2nd MACT, Cuttack passed in Misc. Case No.349 of 1990, wherein compensation to the tune of Rs.25,000/- along with interest @ 6% per annum from the date of filing of the claim application, i.e. 29th April, 1990 has been granted on account of injuries sustained by the injured-claimant in the motor vehicular accident dated 24th March, 1990.

4. It is submitted on behalf of the injured that the tribunal did not grant any amount towards loss of income while computing compensation.

5. Upon hearing Mr. Ali, learned counsel for the insured and considering the submissions made on behalf of the injured and the fact that the injured was a street vegetable vendor and the value of money in the year 1990, the insurer is directed to pay a further consolidated sum of Rs.20,000/-.

6. In the result the appeal is disposed of with a direction to the insurer - Respondent No.2 to deposit a further consolidated sum of Rs.20,000/- (Twenty thousand) before the tribunal, within a period of two months from today; where-after the same shall be disbursed in favour of the injured - claimant.

7. An urgent certified copy of this order be issued as per rules.
