Order 31.03.2026 [1] This matter is taken up on mentioning due to urgency involved in the matter.

[2] Heard Mr. Sh. Athoi, learned counsel for the applicants/writ petitioners in MC(WP(C)) No. 260 of 2026. [3] By the present application, the applicants/writ petitioners in WP(C) No. 931 of 2022 are praying for staying the process of promotion of Grade-II of Manipur Education Service. [4] Issue notice to the respondents.

[5] Mrs. Ch. Sundari, learned G.A. accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos. 1 to 4 and Mr. W. Sanatomba, learned counsel assisting Mr. S. Biswajit, learned senior counsel accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos. 4, 5, 6, 10, 13 & 18.

[6] The applicants/petitioners are directed to take step to the unserved respondents within one week and file affidavit of proof of service.

[7] Mr. Sh. Athoi, learned counsel for the applicants/petitioners, prays for stay of the proceedings of the proposed promotion. [8] Mrs. Ch. Sundari, learned G.A. for the State respondent and Mr. S. Biswajit, learned senior counsel for some of the private respondents, pray for some time for taking instruction and filing reply and they are without file today.

[9] In the circumstances, list this case on 12.05.2026, the date already fixed.
