Mr. Kh. Tarunkumar, learned senior counsel assisted by Ms. Julekha Khan, learned counsel appeared for the petitioners and Ms. Thanyomi Keishing, learned counsel appeared on behalf of the respondents.

In terms of the earlier order dated 28-01-2026 passed by this court, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that she has duly received instruction from the authorities under cover of a letter dated 12-02-2026 from the Office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest & HoFF, Sanjenthong, Imphal, wherein it has been clearly stated that the 70 (seventy) posts of Forest Guards as notified in Advertisement No. 01/2024 dated 06-03-2024 for filling up on regular basis and another 70 (seventy) posts of Forest Guards

WP(C) No. 611 of 2023 & ors. Contd.../-

as notified under Advertisement No. 2/2024 dated 07-03-2024 for appointment on contract basis are different posts.

In this regard, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents seeks one week's time for filing a short affidavit to bring the said letter on record.

Prayer is allowed.

As prayed for by the learned counsel appearing for the respondents, list these cases again on 11-03-2026.
