Mr. N. Zequeson, learned counsel, appears on behalf of the applicant.
The present application has been instituted on behalf of the applicant
Moirangthem Ravi Kumar, praying as follows:-
"In view of the facts and circumstances submitted above, the
Applicant most humbly prays that Your Lordship shall graciously be pleased
i) to admit the present miscellaneous application and call for the records of the
connected W.P.(C) No. 991 of 2021.
ii) to allow correction of the name of the Applicant/Petitioner appearing in the
cause title of the Judgment and Order dated 04.10.2023 passed by the
Hon'ble High Court in W.P.(C) No. 991 of 2021 as "Moirangthem Ravi Kumar"
in place of "Moirangthem Ravikumar Singh". "
The applicant instituted WP(C) No. 991 of 2021, wherein, according
to him, owing to an inadvertent typographical mistake, his name was reflected as
Moirangthem Ravikumar Singh.
The said WP(C) No. 991 of 2021 was allowed by this Court vide
judgment & order dated 04.10.2023.
It is the case of the applicant that his name as recorded in his
Class-X of All India Secondary School Examination Certificate dated 11.08.2008 is
Moirangthem Ravi Kumar. The applicant, therefore, prays that his name appearing
in the cause-title of the said judgment & order dated 04.10.2023 as well as in the
cause-title of WP(C) No. 991 of 2021 be corrected in the interest of justice.
In other words, he states that instead of Moirangthem Ravikumar
Singh as incorrectly stated therein by him, it be substituted with his correct name
Moirangthem Ravi Kumar.

Mr. R.K. Umakanta, learned Government Advocate, Manipur, accepts
notice on behalf of the State; and Mr. S. Biswajit, learned senior counsel, accepts
notice on behalf of the private respondents.
Mr. R.K. Umakanta, learned Government Advocate appearing on
behalf of the State, fairly admits that the applicant is a Police Officer, and his correct
name as reflected in the letter dated 29.05.2024, authored by the Joint Secretary
(Home), Government of Manipur, is Moirangthem Ravi Kumar.
In view of the foregoing, the present application is allowed.
The cause-title of WP(C) No. 991 of 2021, as well as, the cause-title
of the said judgment & order dated 04.10.2023 is directed to be corrected and the
applicant's/petitioner's name is directed to be reflected forthwith as 'Moirangthem
Ravi Kumar' in place of Moirangthem Ravikumar Singh.
The application is disposed of accordingly.
