                 PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to
                 issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to conduct a survey in the
                 petitioner's lands, situated in Survey Nos.719/3C to an extent of 0.24.50 Ares
                 (60.54 cents), 720/1B to an extent of 0.8.00 Ares (19.76 cents), 725/1B to an
                 extent of 0.24.00 Ares (59.30 cents), and 725/1C to an extent of 0.40.00 Ares (98
                 acres and 84 cents) situated at Thimmarasanayakanur Revenue Village, Andipatti
                 Taluk, Theni District, based on the petitioner's survey Application in
                 2025/0123/25/004826, dated 09.06.2025, within a stipulated time that may be
                 fixed by this Court.

                                                                     ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the

respondents to conduct a survey the petitioner's lands, situated in Survey Nos.

719/3C to an extent of 0.24.50 Ares (60.54 cents), 720/1B to an extent of 0.8.00

Ares (19.76 cents), 725/1B to an extent of 0.24.00 Ares (59.30 cents), and 725/1C

to an extent of 0.40.00 Ares (98 acres and 84 cents), situated at

Thimmarasanayakanur Revenue Village, Andipatti Taluk, Theni District, based on

the petitioner's survey Application in 2025/0123/25/004826, dated 09.06.2025,

within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the

admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is

the absolute owner of the subject properties and is in peaceful possession and

enjoyment of the same. It is further submitted that the petitioner made an

application dated 09.06.2025 before the competent authorities, seeking survey

and fixation of boundaries in respect of the said properties. Despite receipt of the

said representations, no further effective steps have been taken by the authorities.

Hence, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition seeking

appropriate directions to enable the authorities to conduct the survey and fix the

boundaries.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the

respondents would submit that proper steps would be taken to survey and

demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu

Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

5. Recording the aforesaid submission, this Court directs the respondents

to consider the petitioner's application dated 09.06.2025 and demarcate the

subject properties, after considering the claims of the petitioner and any other

rival parties, if any, and to pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the

Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of sixteen weeks

from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims,

the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the Civil Court.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall

be no order as to costs.
