JUDGMENT
(Judgment of the Court was made by DR.ANITA SUMANTH, J.)
We heard Mr.S.Srikrishnan appearing for the appellants and
Mr.S.Govindan appearing for the respondent.
2.We find no infirmity in the order of the Writ Court in
disposing the W.P(MD)No.20000 of 2024. The prayer was for a
mandamus directing the respondents to settle the difference in Grade Pay
as per Section 12(3) Settlement dated 04.01.2018.
3. The factum of the settlement is not in dispute and what the
learned Judge has done is to direct the respondents to pay over the
eligible benefits along with interest at the rate of 6% from due date till
date of payment fixing the time frame of twelve weeks.

4. As the respondent states that he is yet to see the colour of the
coin despite the order of the Court being dated 22.08.2024 and the time
frame of twelve weeks being fixed by the Court, in order to facilitate the
process of implementation of the order, the respondent will appear before
the appellants on 24.09.2025 along with all materials in support of his
claim, including the representation filed by him and copies of the 12(3)
settlement and the appellants shall settle the amount within the period of
eight weeks from the hearing of the petition.
5. This Writ Appeal is dismissed. No Costs. Consequently,
connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
