                praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to select and
                appoint the Petitioner to the post of Executive Officer, Grade IV in the Tamil
                Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Subordinate Service
                included in Group VIII Service for the year 2017-19 in pursuance to the
                Judgment rendered by the IV Additional District Judge, Madurai in Sessions
                Case No.453 of 2016 dated 11.07.2022 within the time period stipulated by this
                Court.

                                                       ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner is an aspirant for the post of Executive Officer,

Grade-IV in Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department. The

petitioner had participated in the selection process held for the year 2017-2019.

On account of his involvement in a criminal case, he was not selected.

The declaration of result was withheld. The petitioner has now been acquitted.

The petitioner has given a representation in this regard. The respondent / Tamil

Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is directed to consider the

petitioner’s representation dated 24.09.2022 and pass final order on merits and

in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt

of a copy of this order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of

the matter. It is open to the respondent / TNPSC to pass order one way or the

other. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
