Criminal Revision Case filed under Section 397 read with 401 Code
of Criminal Procedure, to call for the records and set aside the Judgment
dated 02.08.2021 in C.A.No.31 of 2019 on the file of the XVIII Additional
Sessions Judge, City Civil Court at Chennai, by confirming the order dated
18.01.2017 passed in C.C.No.8512 of 2017 on the file of the Metropolitan
Magistrate, Fast Track Court No.III, Saidapet, convicting the petitioner
and sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of six month
and to pay double the amount of the dishonored cheque as compensation to
the respondent.

ORDER
Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the learned counsel for
the petitioner has produced a Joint Compromise Memo, dated 05.08.2022,

said Joint Compromise Memo, by stating that the respondent/complainant
had received the amount as full quit and willing to drop the further
proceedings. The said memo was taken on record.
2.In that view of the matter, the Criminal Revision Case is disposed
of, by the following terms:-
(i) The conviction and sentence imposed on the accused/petitioner
vide Judgment dated 18.01.2019 in C.C.No.8512 of 2017, on the file of the
Metropolitan Magistrate, Fast Track Court No.III, Saidapet and which was
confirmed by Judgment dated 02.08.2021 in C.A.No.31 of 2019 on the file
of the Learned XVIII Additional Sessions Judge, City Civil Court at
Chennai, is set aside;
(ii) The offence is treated as compounded;
(iii) Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
