CONTAINED THEREIN AND ALSO HAVING HEARD THE SUBMISSIONS MADE BY THE

LEARNED SENIOR GOVERNMENT PLEADER AND THE LEARNED STANDING COUNSEL FOR

TRAVANCORE DEVASWOM BOARD AND AMICUS CURIAE FOR SABARIMALA SPECIAL

COMMISSIONER, THE COURT ON 25/08/2022 PASSED THE FOLLOWING.

                              ORDER

Anil K. Narendran, J.

By the order dated 23.08.2022, this SSCR was disposed of by

permitting the Board to proceed with the repair works of the roof

of Sreekovil in Sabarimala Sannidhanam, as stated in the affidavit

dated 16.08.2022 of the Secretary of the Board, since the temple

has closed after monthly pooja on 22.08.2022, and to complete the

entire work before 07.09.2022.

Today, this matter is listed as "to be spoken to", since we

deem it appropriate to make provision for supervision of the repair

works by appropriate officers.

The inspection on 03.08.2022 was conducted in the presence

of the Special Commissioner, Sabarimala, the Chief Engineer, the

Chief Vigilance and Security Officer and Thiruvabharanam

Commissioner.

It is submitted by the learned Standing Counsel for the

Travancore Devaswom Board that the repair work may take at least SSCR No.10 of 2022

5 days.

In such circumstances, we deem it appropriate to direct the

Board to execute the repair works in the presence of the Chief

Engineer, the Chief Vigilance and Security Officer, the

Thiruvabharanam Commissioner and also the Executive Engineer,

Sabarimala Development Project. We also direct Adv.A.S.P.Kurup,

the learned Advocate Commissioner appointed in DBP.No.55 of

2018, to be present at Sannidhanam during the period of repair

works, who shall file a report before this Court, after completion of

the work.
