respondent-Panchayat has filed a statement today disclosing

that the proposed purchase/acquisition has been given up by

the Panchayat. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits

that the writ petition can be closed recording the statement

filed by the Panchayat.

Accordingly, the writ petition is closed recording the

statement filed by the learned Standing Counsel for the

Panchayat.
