                                JUDGMENT

Dated this the 9th day of April 2021

Petitioner is a widow of late Manoharan Pillai K., who

happened to be killed by an elephant, while he was sitting in

front of his house, when the elephant ran into his compound and

attacked. Seeking remedial measurements against such incidents

petitioner has submitted Exts.P1 and P2 representations before

the 1st respondent.

The Writ Petition is therefore disposed of, directing

respondent No.1/respondent No.2 to take a decision on the

request made by the petitioner in Exts.P1 and P2 after affording

an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner/representative of

the petitioner within a period of three months from the date of

receipt of a copy of the judgment. It is made clear that hearing

can be held through electronic mode.
