                             JUDGMENT

Dated this the 09th day of April, 2021

Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits

that the petitioner's surgery did not take place

as expected and prays for further extension of

the parole period. Despite the fervent request

made by the learned Counsel for the petitioner, I

am not inclined to extend the time limit,

particularly in view of the submission made by

the learned Public Prosecutor that on a previous

occasion, the petitioner had overstayed the

period of parole.

In the result, the writ petition is

dismissed, reserving the petitioner's liberty to

seek regularisation of the period of overstay and

thereafter, apply to the competent authority for

parole.
