OF IPC AND SECTION 3 AND 4 OF D.P. ACT AND ETC.,
THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR ORDERS, THIS DAY,
THE COURT MADE THE FOLLOWING:
ORDER
This petition is filed by the accused Nos.1 to 3 under
Section 482 of CR.P.C for quashing the criminal proceedings in
C.C.No.36990/2021 arising out of crime No.106/2021
registered by the Basavangudi Police and chargesheeted for the
offence punishable under Section 498A 504 of IPC Sections 3 &
4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

During the pendency of the petition both petitioner and
respondent No.2 have appeared voluntarily before the Court
along with their father. Both of them already filed application
under Section 320 of Cr.P.C. for compounding the offence.
Counsel submitted that both of them have settled the matter
before the Court and divorce has been granted and permanent
alimony of Rs.6,50,000/- is given to respondent No.2. The
same is accepted by the respondent No.2 before the Court. In
view of the judgment of Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of
Gian Singh Vs.Punjab the compromise petition is allowed and
permitted them to compound the offence.
Accordingly petition is allowed the criminal proceedings
against the petitioner is quashed.
