02/ 26.03.2026:        This bail application has been filed by the petitioner under

Sections 483 & 484 of BNSS, 2023 wherein, prayer has been made for grant of bail as he is in custody for allegedly committing offence punishable under Sections 317(5)/274/275/292/3(5) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and under Section 47(a) of the Excise Act.

2. Heard, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsel for the State and have also gone through the impugned order.

3. Learned AddI. P.P. opposes the prayer for bail.

4. It is alleged that in a vehicle the petitioner and others were transporting foreign liquor. The police presumed that they were transporting it to the State of Bihar, which is a liquor free State.

5. Considering the fact that petitioner is in custody since 24.01.2026 and the fact chargesheet has already been submitted, I am inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chatra, in connection with Itkhori P.S. Case No.09 of 2026, subject to the condition that one of the bailors should be a close relative of the petitioner, having sufficient landed property in his/her own name within the State of Jharkhand.
