01. It has been brought to the notice of this Court by learned counsel for

the petitioner that, despite the order dated 02.03.2026 passed by this Court,

reply has not been filed by the respondents in all the cases. On the other hand,

learned counsel for the respondents has admitted that reply has not been filed in

all the matters.

02. In the interest of justice, another opportunity of one week is granted to

the respondents to file reply in all the matters, positively within the said period,

with an advance copy to the learned counsel for the petitioner, failing which,

respondent No. 2-Commissioner/Secretary, Government of Jammu & Kashmir

Forest Department, Civil Secretariat, Jammu, shall appear in person on the next

date of hearing along with the record.

03. It is made clear that the instant petitions have been pending before this

Court for more than a decade, and till date the respondents have chosen not to

file reply in all the matters, as a result of which the cases could not be heard and

remained pending.

04. It is further made clear that if pleadings are not completed in all

matters, the cases shall be heard on the next date of hearing even in absence of

reply, and no further adjournment shall be granted on any count whatsoever.

05. List on 08.04.2026, higher up.

06. Registry is directed to convey this order to respondent No. 2-

Commissioner/Secretary, Government of Jammu & Kashmir Forest

Department, Civil Secretariat, Jammu, for compliance.
