01. Vide order and judgment dated September 11, 2024, the Coordinate

Bench had allowed the appeal preferred by the petitioner:

'In view of the above, this appeal to the extent aforesaid is allowed and the judgment impugned in this appeal is modified by providing that whatever amount is ultimately found due to the appellant on account of his retiral benefits shall be disbursed to the appellant along with interest @6% per annum reckoned w.e.f. 30th June, 2020 till the amount is actually disbursed to the appellant.'

02. At the outset, Mr. Ravinder Gupta, learned Additional Advocate General,

submits that the decision rendered by the Division Bench (ibid) has partially been

complied with. For a substantial amount has already been released in favour of

the petitioner. However, as regards interest, he submits that the same, too, shall

be disbursed to the petitioner within two weeks from today.

03. That being so, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that nothing

substantive survives in the petition and the same be disposed of in terms of the

statement made by the learned counsel for the respondents. However, he submits

that in the event, the balance amount is not released by the respondents within

reasonable time, he be granted liberty to move an appropriate application in this

petition itself for its restoration and appropriate orders.

04. Ordered accordingly.

05. The contempt petition shall stand closed with liberty as prayed for.
