Compliance report submitted by the respondents dated 17th December, 2024, does not appear to be in tune with the basic Judgment dated 13th December, 2021 passed in WP(C) No. 2068/2020 read with Orders dated 11th September, 2023 and 9th October, 2023 passed in this contempt petition. It is also mentioned in the previous orders that the petitioners have placed on record voluminous documents evidencing the fact that they have been working in the respondent- department.

Accordingly, the respondents/contemnors are again directed to ensure the compliance of the Judgment passed by this Court on 13th December, 2021, failing which, the instant contempt petition shall be carried to its logical conclusion. The respondent/contemnor- Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti Department, shall appear in person before the Court on the next date of hearing to explain the failure of the department to comply with the Court Orders.

List again on 11th March, 2025.
