Mr. Sumant Sudan, learned counsel appearing vice Mr. Vishal Sharma, learned DSGI accept notice on behalf of respondents and he seeks three weeks' time to file reply on behalf of respondents. Time is granted, as prayed for.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has placed on record the judgment title - "Mst. Syeda Begum Vs. State of J&K and Ors." passed by this Court (Srinagar Bench) on 29.10.2015 wherein as per the scheme promulgated by the Government for the flood victims of Srinagar have been paid Rs. 75000/- for fully damaged houses and on the other hand, the petitioner being the victim of Leh flood has been paid Rs. 7500/- only, which is a sheer discrimination and a huge disparity.
While filing the reply, the respondents should deal with this aspect of the matter that why there is huge disparity with regard to the payment of relief for the flood victims of Leh vis-à-vis the flood victims of Srinagar.
